We’ll finish with a gentle stroll through Nara Park, observing the freely roaming deer, subtle temple details, and open spaces. This flexible segment allows you to reflect, take photos, or linger on what resonates most with your sense of Zen and design.

….. 2. Yoshikien Garden . 30 minutes

We’ll begin at Yoshikien Garden, a tranquil retreat where moss, stone, and water are arranged with deliberate care. As we stroll through the tea garden, pond garden, and moss garden, you’ll sense the principles of harmony and balance that define Japanese landscape design, and feel how calm descends in even the busiest of minds.

….. 3. Todaiji Temple . 75 minutes

Next, we’ll visit Todaiji Temple, home to the Great Buddha. Walking through the massive wooden halls, you’ll witness the scale and ingenuity of Japanese temple architecture, where structure, symbolism, and devotion merge. The sheer presence of the Daibutsu invites reflection on human aspiration and the sacred.

….. 4. Nigatsudo Hall (within Todaiji) . 60 minutes

From Todaiji, we’ll ascend to Nigatsudo Hall, perched on a hillside with sweeping views of Nara. Here, the architecture and ritual space combine to elevate perspective—both literally and spiritually—reminding us how design can guide movement, emotion, and contemplation.

We’ll continue to Nara Botanical Garden, a living collection of flora showcasing seasonal changes and thoughtful landscaping. Walking the paths, you’ll see how horticulture and design collaborate to teach patience, observation, and the quiet beauty of nature.

….. 6. Higashimuki Shopping Street . 20 minutes

Offers a calm, leisurely stroll through traditional shops and quaint eateries, where the gentle rhythm of daily life blends with the flavors and charms of Nara.

The remaining time, if any, accounts for commuting between locations, transitions, regrouping, and settling into each segment, which naturally expand the overall duration.

✔ Personal Support: Guests who book here are welcome to reach out to me with any questions during their time in Japan.

✔ No Tipping is expected, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy your experience without any additional expense or obligation.

✖ Meal Costs: Participants are responsible for their own meal costs (such as lunch), if applicable.

✖ Transportation Costs: Participants handle their own transportation costs (public or private, if they choose the latter).

1. Within 48 hours of booking – Confirmation email
   You’ll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of your booking. I’ll ask if you have any special requests for your tour and, if you’re comfortable, your WhatsApp number. If you prefer, we can stay in touch by email.

2. One week before your tour (ideally via WhatsApp)
   I’ll contact you to reconfirm the details of your tour.

3. One day before your tour
   A final message to confirm our meeting and make sure everything is set.

4. On the day of the tour, if needed
   I may reach out if we don’t spot each other immediately at the meeting point.

Nara offers an experience of Zen without asking anything of us. There is nothing to perform, nothing to master, nothing to understand in a hurry. Simply walking through its gardens becomes an unspoken lesson—one delivered without words, instruction, or effort. In Nara, meaning arises not from explanation, but from presence; from the slow rhythm of footsteps, the space between trees, and the calm acceptance of time passing without urgency.

If the tour does not meet your expectations, you are welcome to request a full refund—issued directly by me after the tour.

My intention is simple: if you are not genuinely happy with the experience, I would much rather return your payment than leave you disappointed.

If you need to cancel your tour, the following refund policy applies:

• 15 days or more before the tour: You will receive a 90% refund. The remaining 10% covers advance planning and administrative costs associated with your reservation.

• 2–14 days before the tour: You will receive a 50% refund. At this stage, it may be difficult for me to accept another booking for the reserved date.

• Less than 48 hours before the tour, or in the case of a no-show: No refund will be provided.
